Trespa Pura NFC Cladding, Horizontal & Vertical Install System
Our system simplifies the installation of Trespa Pura NFC panels by eliminating the need for 1x wood furring strips and EPDM strips that are common with traditional installation systems.
By removing these steps, the MFTP system from Monarch reduces on-site labor and additional materials while still creating a 7/8” drained and ventilated cavity behind the cladding. This cavity is required by Trespa and protects both the wall and the cladding from trapped moisture.
Installing the cladding with the Monarch system provides direct labor and material cost savings to the installer while also avoiding the ordering, handling, cutting, and fastening of 1x furring strips. These wood furring strips can degrade over time and hold moisture against the building substrate.

Trespa Pura NFC Clip System for Fast, Easy Installation
Our engineered clip system secures Trespa Pura NFC panels without the need for wood furring strips. This aluminum support solution simplifies cladding installation, reduces on-site labor, and ensures panels are properly aligned and held in place.

Ventilated Rain Screen Drainage System
The Monarch starter rail functions as both a secure base rail and a ventilated drainage closure, creating the required 7/8″ cavity behind Trespa Pura NFC panels. Combined with the head rail for system closure, this design maintains airflow, manages moisture, and extends the durability of the cladding system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Learn how to install Trespa Pura NFC panels in a horizontal layout using the Monarch Metal MFTP System. This step-by-step video shows how our rail and clip system simplifies horizontal installation while delivering durability and a clean finish.
Installation Steps
- Start with the MFTP Starter Rail (MFTPSR)
- Use a laser or chalkline to create control lines around the perimeter
- Place the starter rail against the wall and fasten at each stud (16–24″ O.C.)
- Install trim profiles (MFTPIC, MFTPET, MFTPOC) using #10 self-drilling screws
- Insert Trespa Pura planks into the starter rail; they rest on the upturned leg
- Secure planks with MFTP2.0 clips spaced 16–24″, matching stud spacing
- Each plank requires a fixed location; use acrylic or polyurethane construction adhesive
- Attach planks to clips to lock them in place
- Under windows and doors: measure and install MFTPHR with #10 fasteners
- If the final plank doesn’t fit, cut it to size and secure with color-matched fasteners
- Above windows/doors: for notched planks, use the MFTPHR as in the earlier step
- For full planks aligning with window heads, use the MFTPSR to carry the course
- Ensure a ventilated cavity behind the cladding for moisture protection
System Benefits
- Simplifies horizontal installation by eliminating furring strips and EPDM
- Reduces labor and materials while maintaining a 7/8″ ventilated cavity
- Designed for efficiency and long-term performance

Learn how to install Trespa Pura NFC panels in a vertical layout using the Monarch Metal MFTP System. This step-by-step video shows how our rail and clip system simplifies vertical installation while delivering durability and a clean finish.
Installation Steps
1: Start with the MFTP Starter Rail (MFTPVS)
2: Use a laser or chalkline to create control lines around the perimeter of the building
3: Place the starter rail against the wall and fasten at each stud (16–24″ O.C.)
4: Install trim profiles (MFTPIC, MFTPET, MFTPOC) in their locations using #10 self-drilling screws
5: Place the Trespa Pura planks onto the flat horizontal surface of the starter rail
6: Secure planks with MFTP2.0 clips spaced 16–24″ vertically, aligned with studs or furring
7: Each plank requires a fixed location; use acrylic or polyurethane construction adhesive
8: Attach planks to clips to lock them in place
9: Under windows and doors: measure and install MFTPHR with #10 fasteners
10: If the final plank doesn’t fit, cut it to size and secure it with color-matched fasteners
11: For notched planks: use MFTPHR to secure, similar to the “Under Windows” step
12: Ensure a 7/8″ ventilated cavity remains behind the cladding for moisture protection
System Benefits
• Simplifies vertical installation by eliminating wood furring strips and EPDM
• Reduces on-site labor and extra materials while maintaining a 7/8″ drained and ventilated cavity required by Trespa

The Monarch Metal system eliminates the need for traditional 1x wood furring strips and EPDM strips. Instead, it uses a custom aluminum support system that creates a 7/8” drained and ventilated cavity behind the cladding. This reduces labor, material handling, and installation time while still meeting Trespa’s requirements.
Yes. The Monarch Metal support system is engineered to allow both horizontal and vertical installation of Trespa Pura NFC panels. It includes starter rails, clips, and trim profiles that simplify installation in either orientation while ensuring proper rain screen performance.
The system provides a 7/8” drained and ventilated cavity behind the Trespa Pura NFC panels. This cavity is required by Trespa to ensure moisture management and long-term durability of both the cladding and the wall assembly.
Panels can be installed at either 16-inch or 24-inch on-center spacing when using the Monarch Metal system. This flexibility allows contractors and designers to align with stud layouts while maintaining system performance.
The system includes custom aluminum starter rails, planks, MFTP 2.0 clips, ventilated starter trims, edge trims, and optional accessory profiles. These components work together to hold the panels securely while maintaining proper ventilation.
By eliminating the ordering, cutting, and fastening of wood furring strips, the system reduces jobsite steps and material waste. Installers benefit from easier alignment, faster panel attachment, and lower labor costs compared to traditional installation methods.
