To save installation time at the job site and ensure that panels are aligned correctly, many panel installation companies will pre-drill holes on the back-side of panels for mounting Monarch Z Clips. Using a template on the job site is an alternative to this, but it is less precise and requires more labor.

The challenge with pre-drillng holes is that the original panel clip design has offset holes, making it more costly and time consuming to bore these holes using router equipment or line boring equipment.

Monarch Metal has introduced a new custom Monarch Z Clip with even spaced holes, 32mm apart to address this issue. Monarch’s new custom z-clip design will allow customers to save time and money in preparing the panels for installation. In addition, since the holes are spaced 32mm apart, customers can drill 8 or more holes at a time on a standard 32mm line boring machine.

To the right, there is an illustration of the Monarch MF375 Even Hole Z-Clip. The original clip has .203″ diameter holes that are offset by .125″ and 1.375″ apart. The new custom clip pictured has the holes aligned vertically and spacing of 32mm to accommodate 32mm line boring equipment.
